A mum-of-one has revealed how her one-year-old daughter suffered second and third degree burns to 22% of her body after pouring boiling water over herself. Haleigh Tubbs, 23, was preparing macaroni and cheese for her family when her daughter, Brooklyn, tipped over the scalding pasta pan. Brooklyn spent over two weeks in hospital, where she underwent skin graft surgery. Thankfully, almost two months on, she is recovering well. Now, Haleigh, from New Mexico, US, is sharing her daughter’s story to raise awareness of burns.
