A mother-of-four has revealed how her daughter was stabbed to death by her ex partner, while their horrified children watched on. Christie Frewin, was just 25, when evil Alex Staines, 32, ferociously attacked her, the morning after two officers failed to arrest him, despite an inspector requesting the order. Sadly, the mother-of-three died from her injuries. In November last year, the officers involved, PC Gemma Walsh Beasley and Mike McDermott, escaped with just written warnings, following an investigation that found they were guilty of gross misconduct. Christie’s mum, Ayshea Hulton, 46, has slammed the outcome as ‘disgusting’. She says: “Christie was listed as a ‘high-risk’ domestic abuse victim on police systems, so should have been protected from Alex. “Instead, he was allowed to walk free, which ultimately lead to her death. “If he’d been jailed that night, Christie might still be with us.”
