PRAYING MANTIS MAKES AN UNLIKELY FRIEND

A brave praying mantis makes an unusual friend in an Oriental garden lizard. Clinging to a branch, the reptile appeared unfazed as the plucky insect crawled up its back and perched on its head. Incredibly, the praying mantis left the encounter unscathed, even though insects are a main part of an Oriental garden lizard’s diet. The unlikely pair were captured by 30-year-old photographer Andri Priyadi in Cihuni Hill Park, Tangerang, Indonesia.
