UNLIKELY FRIENDSHIP

A brave cricket takes his chances as he sits on top of this green papua tree frog. Slowly making his way up the side of a petal, he eventually reaches his target and perches himself on the head of his unlikely friend. The series was captured by Indonesian photographer Monica Anantyowati in her back garden in Malang, East Java. ‘This set is about two different species, a predator and his prey, taking a rest together on the petal of a flower,’ says 42-year-old Monica.
