POLAR BEAR STRETCHES

Raising his arms above his head and lying flat on his back, a polar bear stretches as he sprawls out across the ice. These adorable photographs were taken by Canadian photographer Dennis Minty, 67, when he was working as a polar bear guide on the west side of Hudson Bay, Canada. “This is where bears gather through October and November, in anticipation of the freeze-up of the Bay,” says Dennis, of Newfoundland and Labrador.
