Jackie Smithers forked out £50 a week on greasy snacks at the high street bakery chain, and eventually tipped the scales at 19st 7lbs. The 29-year-old from Welwyn, Hertfordshire, ditched her calorific habit for good when she realised her unhealthy diet was ruining her life. Now Jackie, who stands at 5ft 5in, weighs just 10st 7lbs and is a slinky size 10. The English teacher, who lives in Santiago, Chile, says: “My daily Greggs order was usually two chicken bakes, three sugary cakes, plus cookies and a bottle of fizzy drink.
