VICTIM SLAMS SENTENCE AS THUG WALKS FREE FROM COURT

A woman brutally beaten in a revenge attack has slammed the soft sentence handed to her assailant. Thug Dale Powell, 50, walked free from court with just a fine after he launched a shocking assault against hapless victim Teresa Knowles, 53. The attack, which took place outside the Cyns Tavern in Little Hulton, Manchester, left Teresa with a broken cheekbone, a fractured jaw, two black eyes and damage to her retina. Powell pleaded guilty to assault causing actual bodily harm when he appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court in September 2016.
