INDONESIAN FLOATING MARKET IS BURSTING WITH COLOUR

A floating market in Indonesia is bursting with vibrant colours as wooden rowing boats loaded with fruit and vegetables crowd the river. Indonesian photographer Monica Anantyowati visited Lok Baintan River in South Kalimantan, Indonesia, where traders have swapped their market stalls for boats laden with bananas, potatoes and oranges. Monica, 43, of Malang, East Java, says: “The women, most of whom are around 60 years old, are trading using a traditional method.
