Commuters were put in a HOLE lot of trouble after trains were cancelled by a hole created by BADGERS. Rail users between Hereford and Worcester saw all services stopped for ours after the foot-and-a-half hole was discovered. Network Rail were called to the Colwall station in Herefordshire after a driver alerted them to the dangerous opening. Keith Lumley, spokesman for Network Rail said the only plausible explanation was the local wildlife. He said: "Until our team has been to investigate further we think the only thing like to undermine a hole like that is badgers. "There are no drains or covets in the area so that rules out a flood or leak creating a problem. "Usually in circumstances like this it's the undermining of badgers that is to blame. A spokesman from Network Rail said that replacement bus services would be running between the two stations for the remainder of the day. He said the problem was first noticed when the 7.34am from Hereford to Birmingham had to be stopped.
