EERIE ABANDONED CHILDREN’S ORPHANAGE

Ornate chandeliers and mahogany panelling give a glimpse into this abandoned building's former glory after it's been left to rot for the past decade. Grade Two listed building Silverlands Orphanage, in Surrey, once a bustling orphanage housing 60 children now has paint peeling from its mouldy walls and boarded up windows. Hampshire urban explorer couple Tim Barber, 31, and Stacey Louise, 21, took these eerie photographs during a visit to the unnerving building. ‘I wanted to photograph an abandoned orphanage because of the idea behind it,’ said online blogger Stacey.
