TERRIFIED TEACHER TALKED MURDERER OUT OF STRANGLING HER

A teacher has told how she was attacked by a murderer on her way home from a night out but courageously managed to charm him out of strangling her. Jessica Price, 23, from Nottingham, could have been killer Carl Powell’s second victim had it not been for her gift of the gab. She had been out with friends in Nottingham City Centre after returning from travelling and was walking home when Powell, 24, pounced on her in the early hours. Terrified Jessica thought Powell was going to kill her there and then. But incredibly, she was able to sweet talk her attacker into letting her go. Chatty Jessica says: “I’ve always been good at talking. This time my talent saved my life.” She later discovered that Powell had already murdered mum-of-two Caroline Coyne a month earlier. He was jailed in October last year thanks to Jessica’s testimony.
