SINGLE WOMAN GRANTED NHS IVF HAS BABY AFTER 3 MISCARRIAGES

A single woman, who was granted IVF funding on the NHS, finally has a baby after suffering three miscarriages. Claire Dodd, 41, from Manchester, was left infertile aged 21 after having her fallopian tubes and ovaries removed due to cysts. After years of IVF waiting lists and failed adoption attempts, Claire applied for a grant from Salford Primary Care Trust and won two fully funded IVF cycles as a single person. Now the new mum has just celebrated her daughter, Amberley’s first birthday after waiting 20 years to become a parent.
