SCUBA-DUPER DIVER BREAKS RECORD FOR 50 HOURS UNDERWATER

A British diver has set a new world record for the longest warm water scuba dive by spending a mammoth 49 hours and 56 minutes under water. Sean McGahern, 38 remained submerged in the waters of Malta enduring strong winds, currents, surge and one metre waves to complete this impressive feat. Surprisingly Sean, from Brighton, managed to eat, drink and sleep during his time underwater in St George's Bay, Malta and kept himself busy by cleaning up the seabed of debris. He passed time by removing rubble which was brought up to the surface by the dive team who assisted him in his record breaking attempt. Exhausted from a long day's diving, Sean, who has over 2000 dives under his belt, got some much needed rest on a make shift sun lounger chained down onto the sea bed
