A rare butterfly has returned to the Lancashire countryside after a 100 year absence. The large heath butterfly is being reintroduced to Heysham Moss, Lancashire. This breed of butterfly was last recorded at the site at the beginning of the 20th century. The reintroduction project has involved Chester Zoo, Lancashire Wildlife Trust and funder Lancashire Environmental Fund.
