PELICANS RUFFLE EACH OTHER'S FEATHERS

THIS is the moment one irritated pelican nearly swallows the entire head of his unlucky competitor. Clearly ruffling each other's feathers, the innocent pelican nearly ended up as the night's dinner as his enemy clasps his beak around his head. The amusing photographs were taken by photographer Harry Eggens, 60, in Lake Kerkini in Northern Greece. 'These are two Dalmatian pelicans having a nasty dispute between each other," said Harry. 'Even though it was hard for me to say exactly why they were fighting, I could guess it was all about a fish that one of them managed to catch over the other.'
