An American man continues on his mission to document his journey around the globe by completing a world map tattoo on his back. More than 70 nations and counting are permanently etched onto the back of William ‘Bill’ Passman, 60, of Louisiana, USA. Nine years ago, he began with an empty outline of the world tattooed on his back and he records each new trip by visiting a tattoo parlour, where the country is coloured in. This year the committed traveller had Portugal, Russia and the tiny Caribbean island of Antigua added to his ink.
