A mother-of-one has revealed how a neighbour’s friend ‘mauled’ her face, leaving her scarred for life. Danielle Ascroft, 44, was savagely attacked by Kerry Trainer, 40, who bit a chunk out of her cheek. The thug was jailed for 12 months last week after pleading guilty to unlawful wounding. Danielle, from Gateshead, says: “I’m glad Kerry got jail time for the attack. “It was completely unprovoked and now I’ve been left with a nasty scar on my face which is a constant reminder. “I hope she learns her lesson.”
