The mother of a young woman stabbed 26 times by her ex-partner for having a secret abortion has told how her daughter was cruelly betrayed by her own social worker. Natasha Trevis was just 22 when her violent ex Junior Saleem Oakes stabbed her to death as the pair shared a cab on his 28th birthday. The young mum-of-three, known as Tasha, had recently had an abortion and had told Oakes she had suffered a miscarriage - but despite knowing his violent history, a social worker had let slip the truth to her former long-term boyfriend just days earlier. Later Oakes would tell a prison officer that he had carried out his savage and relentless attack on 5ft 1in Tasha because "she killed one of our kids".
