For Kiwi photographer Chris McLennan, 49,abseiled 300ft off one of the highest cave in the Southern Hemisphere into the unknown depths of a dark cavern and squeezed between limestone columns to capture this breath-taking image. The stunning photograph looks more like a scene from an epic movie than the work of a snapper. Located in beautiful Waitomo, New Zealand, they don’t call it The Lost World for nothing with its waterfalls, ancient whalebones, oyster fossils and magnificent glow-worms.
