A loving daughter has set up a Facebook page in a desperate plea to strangers, to donate a kidney to her dying mum. Stephanie Reynolds, 24, set up the page; ‘Please donate a kidney to my mum’ appealing for help after mum, Elaine, 54, was told in January that she had less than a one in 10,000 chance of finding a donor. Diagnosed with rare auto-immune disease Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) in 2001, Elaine from Berkshire, also suffers from kidney disorder, Immunoglobin A. Sadly, Elaine can’t accept a kidney from a relative, because her FSGS would return and attack her system again, due to her body recognising the proteins in the kidney.
