After leaving school at 16, Ashlee knew she couldn’t live as a boy anymore, and with the support of her parents Elizabeth, 50, and Elwyn, 65, began to live as a girl. But her GP was less supportive, and when Ashlee asked to go on hormone therapy to complete her transformation, he turned her down for being too young
