A man who was stabbed ten times in a frenzied and random attack has told how, two years on, he is too scared to leave his house without his STAB VEST. Ajay Rattu, 32, from Wolverhampton, never steps outside his front door without wearing the Kevlar body armour, which is so tough it can withstand a round from an AK47 rifle. The former carer wears the vest every day - even to take out the bins - because in June 2010 he was subjected to a terrifying and brutal attack by a knife-wielding maniac. After refusing to leave his house for a year following the assault, Ajay was diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder and agoraphobia, leading him to spend £700 on the super-tough undergarment. Now, thanks to the vest, Ajay is able to spend short amounts of time in public with his partner Sharon, a 34-year-old make up artist from Wolverhampton, but says he is still haunted by flashbacks 50 times a day.
