At her worst, Kirsty Bonnick, 22, was so desperate to lose weight that she consumed just 500 calories a day. Recovered Kirsty from Newbury, Berkshire, would obsessively exercise up to three hours a day and within a year had dropped from 10st 10lbs to 6st. Her obsession with size was worsened by the growing thigh gap trend, a look popularised on Instagram by users including ‘Made in Chelsea’ star Millie Mackintosh.
