Liz Jackson, 55, says she felt numb at the birth of her own granddaughter, was unable to grieve over the death of her mother and couldnt even have an argument for over a decade. The drugs, which she had to take to stop a heart condition which caused her pulse to race at 250 beats a minute, saved Lizs life but left her unable to feel happiness or sadness. Liz would even remain completely calm in the face of loud noises, which startled those around her and left them with racing hearts.
